microFIND®, designed to perform Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization (FISH) on biological samples, consists of a functionalized (coated) glass slide and 1 to 4 microfluidic channels (pads) to be used as effective alternative to standard slides, for sample processing.
microFIND® offers your desired level of automation from semi to fully- automated solutions for FISH assays. Two different models are currently available: autoFIND S andautoFIND F.

Proprietary coating
microFIND® is a slide with a proprietary coating, coupled with microfluidic compartments or microchannels, where cells are loaded and processed for FISH: after hybridizations slides are further analyzed by fluorescence microscopy using conventional manual or automated systems.

Suitable samples
microFIND®, used as alternative to standard slides, is designed to replace standard FISH sample preparation on slides, to fully automated FISH for the following biological samples:
Fixed cells in the form of standard cytogenetic pellet from peripheral blood PB and bone marrow BM, either primary or cultured
Fixed cells in the form of cytogenetic pellet from spontaneous urine
Living white blood cells, not previously fixed, from PB and BM, either primary or cultured, or pre-selected by IMAC (Immobilized Metal Ion Affinity Chromatography) or FACS (Fluorescent-Activated Cell Sorting) methods

Product description
autoFIND S system, coupled with microFIND® 1L is able to perform the central steps of the FISH (Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization) protocol on biological samples.
autoFIND S is able to process up to 12 tests per run, dispensing the necessary reagents for aging, digestion, dehydration and denaturation of the samples, leaving the loading of the cytogenetic pellet and probes under the operator’s manual control.
Thanks to microFIND®, autoFIND S is able to perform the FISH protocol on non-previously fixed cells.

AutoFIND S system consists of:
A rotating tower, complete with 500 µL syringe for pipetting and a drawing terminal
A main base equipped with thermostatic slots for microFINDs and for reagent vials. It has a display and integrated keyboard for maintenance and set up operations
12 slots for microFIND® which offer the possibility to independently control the temperatures of the process in three distinct thermal zones (from RT to 90°C)
6 slots for 1,5 ml reagents vials
6 heated slots (from RT to 90°C) designed to 1,5 ml vials, divided in two areas with three vials each
1 area for needle washing and drawing system
autoFIND S system automatically performs the following step:
dispensing, incubation and drawing of the reagents within microFIND® according to FISH protocol/span>
preset different temperatures, according to the chosen procedure, in 3 distinct zones which contain up to 4 microFIND® each
manage the thermal cycles for the automation of denaturation and hybridization
maintain uniform temperatures and control of humidity during the hybridization step

Product description
autoFIND F, coupled with microFIND®, is an automated slide staining system for the processing of FISH (Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization) assays on cytological samples both in interphase and metaphase.
autoFIND F can process from 1 to 4 hybridizations on the same microFIND® according to the different version of microFIND®.
autoFIND F can process up to 16 slides with a maximum of 64 hybridization/tests per run.
The system automates the protocol steps from the sample loading to the denaturation and hybridization steps.
The system makes it possible to perform specific protocols depending on the sample used (cytogenetic pellet or previously unfixed cell) and specific customer needs.
autoFIND F improves throughput, consistency and method standardization. A selection of pre-defined protocols makes it possible to customize the pre-treatment, denaturation and hybridization parameters according to specific specimen requirements.
The system is provided with a PC and dedicated software.

autoFIND F automates
autoFIND F is a stand alone system that fully automates the majority of the FISH steps, optimized for the use with every kind of probe.
It can process from 1 up to 4 tests/hybridizations on the same microFIND® thanks to its different configurations (up to 16 slides with a maximum of 64 tests/hybridizations per run).
autoFIND F system consists of:
a liquid handler platform
two thermostatic units for microFIND®
3 removable racks for sample vials, FISH probe vials and generic reagent tubes
a pipetting arm equipped with disposable tips to prevent any cross contamination
an external printer for vials and slides coding
an integrated video camera for the codes reading and worktable verification
a graphic user interface (GUI) specifically developed to manage the system

FIND3 software controls and manages the whole autoFIND F system. FIND3 has 3 main functions:
- Define the run setup.
- Guide the user on when to load microFIND, reagents and samples on the worktable.
- Launch the application and the script that verify the accuracy and inventory of the loaded samples, consumables and reagents to ensure the traceability of the assay and executes the FISH protocol selected by the user.
When the run is concluded, the FIND3 software automatically generates a report with all the details characterizing the execution.
