Technology
Introduction
The GRAS AM0009 is a set of 5 windscreens. The windscreen is included with the complete windscreens with birdspikes i.e. AM0145, AM0370, and AM0052 but can be replaced separatelly when worn out.
Design
When a microphone is placed in a laminar flow, turbulence is created which in turn results in unwanted pressure variations on the diaphragm. By using a windscreen the pressure variations are moved as far away from the diaphragm as possible.
Theoretically this supports a “the-bigger-the-better design”, but in practice it is a compromise between air speed reduction, practical size and self-induced noise. Self-induced noise is wobble-noise which is generated, when the windscreen starts moving around the microphone.
The GRAS windscreens are all size optimized and their special, open-cell foam structure and number of pores per inch2 (ppi), are designed to resist a humid environment and at the same time not influence the sound pressure measurement result significantly.

GRAS accessories are made of stainless steel, alloys and high-quality composites. These items are covered by a 2 year warranty respecting their intended use.
On consumables like batteries, cables and windscreen we offer a 6 month warranty.

GRAS AM0009是一套5塊擋風(fēng)玻璃。擋風(fēng)玻璃包括帶有鳥釘?shù)耐暾麚躏L(fēng)玻璃，即AM0145、AM0370和AM0052，但磨損時可以單獨(dú)更換。
設(shè)計
當(dāng)傳聲器置于層流中時，會產(chǎn)生湍流，從而導(dǎo)致隔膜產(chǎn)生不必要的壓力變化。通過使用擋風(fēng)玻璃，壓力變化盡可能遠(yuǎn)離隔膜。
理論上這支持“越大越好的設(shè)計”，但在實(shí)踐中，這是在空氣速度降低、實(shí)際尺寸和自感噪聲之間的折衷。自感噪聲是當(dāng)擋風(fēng)玻璃開始圍繞麥克風(fēng)移動時產(chǎn)生的搖擺噪聲。
GRAS擋風(fēng)玻璃都是尺寸優(yōu)化的，其特殊的開孔泡沫結(jié)構(gòu)和每英寸的孔數(shù)（PPI）被設(shè)計成能夠抵抗潮濕環(huán)境，同時不會顯著影響聲壓測量結(jié)果。
質(zhì)量和保修
GRAS配件由不銹鋼、合金和復(fù)合材料制成。這些產(chǎn)品的預(yù)期用途保修期為2年。
對于電池、電纜和擋風(fēng)玻璃等消耗品，我們提供6個月的保修。
