The FX-400 series of digital fiber sensors is a simple, easy to use sensor that does not compromise functionality. Much work has been done to provide a sensor that beginners can operate out of the box that has some of the useful functions found in high-end units.
Stronger lighting
The LED light source of the FX-400 series has been increased to 1.5X that of previous models. This allows for greater resistance to dust, dirt, etc. so that less time needs to be spent on maintenance. Long-term stability is ensured by using a four-chemical emitting element in combination with a built-in auto power control circuit (APC). Three LED options are available: red, green, and blue. Each type excels at distinguishing different color sets so you can choose the optimal light source for your application.
Enhanced user interface
The user interface of the sensor has been enhanced to provide a dual digital display and a large adjuster. The display shows the incident light intensity and the threshold value simultaneously, which improves configuration and maintenance procedures. Also, the display can be flipped 180 degrees or shut off compley to save power. The adjuster allows several advanced features such as R.S.S., or rotation speed sensitivity, which changes the display change sensitivity in proportion to the speed in which the adjuster is turned. Quick modifications of the threshold value have never been easier. It is also simple to make small changes because one digit on the display corresponds to a 30-degree turn of the adjuster. Furthermore, the adjuster has no starting or end position, so it is impossible to cause any damage by overturning.
Other new features
Several features were incorporated from the FX-300 series. One such feature is the light emitting amount selection feature, which allows for the light emission to be raised or lowered without changing the response time. Also included were three types of timers (ON-delay, OFF-delay, and ONE-SHOT), interference prevention for up to eight fiber heads, peak/bottom hold functions, and a key lock function to prevent unwanted changes.
The FX-400 series employs the same quick-connection cables that are used in such sensors as the FX-300 series and the LS series. This allows the FX-400 to be integrated along with your other sensors (up to 16) for simplified wiring connection.
The FX-400 series can utilize our entire line of over 180 different fiber optic heads for use in almost any potential application
